On March 1st 2009, two "Grandes Ecoles" in Dijon, France: the National Institute of Higher Education in Agronomy (Enesad) and the National Institute of Higher Education in Biology applied to Food Sciences (Ensbana) merged to become AgroSup Dijon: National Institute of Higher Education in Agronomy, Food and Environmental Sciences.
AgroSup Dijon comprises 1000 students, 96 professors and 369 other staff and is located on the campus of the University of Burgundy (Université de Bourgogne) and is part of the «PRES » Bourgogne–Franche-Comté (Les pôles de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur – Operational pole of higher education and research in the Burgundy- Franche-Comté regions).
AgroSup Dijon is the 4th French establishment of its kind after AgroParisTech, Montpellier SupAgro and Agrocampus Ouest. It also comprises an Institute called "EDUTER" devoted to the development and the engineering of Agricultural Education which produces, edits and distributes educational resources.
AgroSup Dijon manages and participates in several European and international networks and projects.
